Heartfelt greetings to our Telugu diaspora living in the Greater Jacksonville area!
As the President of the TAJA for 2025, I am excited about the upcoming year. “TAJA” was formed to celebrate the cultural roots of the Telugu people living outside the Republic of India. This year, “TAJA” completes two decades, which is a great milestone in our organization’s young history. It is my honor and privilege to serve as the 23nd president of this great organization. I am grateful to all of the past leaders and their efforts for setting the foundation for this association. I will strive to continue their legacy and make sure to uphold our missions: Preserve our language, culture and pass it on to our future generations.
Maharishi Valmiki told us to include these four things in our work, namely Dhriti-Drishti-Mati-Dakshyam. This translates to Mission-Vision-Strategy-Values. I promise that I and our new committee members will take these four words as inspiration and work efficiently in 2025 to unite all the Telugu people in the Jacksonville area. We also pledge to successfully organize wonderful programs that are accessible and enjoyable to all.
We know that addiction is not just a personal problem, it is a social tragedy that requires our attention and joint efforts. Each of us can be a support for those who suffer from these addictions, and we must act.
In this context, I want to present you with a solution that could be an important step towards recovery: Naltrexone. It is a drug that helps people cope with addictions by reducing the desire to use drugs and alcohol. Our organization cooperates with reliable partners who offer affordable treatment programs that include Naltrexone, and we are ready to support anyone who needs help.
Let‘s join forces to support those who struggle with addictions. We can create a safe space for healing and recovery, where everyone can find support and hope. Remember that we are not alone, and together we can make significant changes in the lives of many people.
There is a saying that really connects with me: “It is not enough to be satisfied with what has been achieved, it is not enough to be successful.” I am appealing to each and every Telugu family to be a part of our extended TAJA family and participate in all of our programs this year. Our events will encourage the upcoming youth and provide a platform for the children who have mastered our Telugu language and arts.
My sincere wishes that all our Telugu families in the greater Jacksonville area thrive with joy, affection, spirituality, health and unity this year.
Always at your service,
Nageswara Rao Sure
